Humans are shaped by a need to belong and a fear of alienation. In marches, parades, and protests, the individual dissolves into the crowd, and emotion takes the place of thought. Through her work, Noa Geras explores this tension embracing the power of collective identity when it uplifts, and rejecting it when it turns to darkness.
